Please can you help identify this object.

It is grey in colour and has a smooth shiney suface. The reverse is plain. It has a specific gravity of 8.96  It looks to have a tin or silver inclusion.

You seem very positive that it is a potin. Are potins sometimes blank on reverse?

It has been suggested that it is a mediaeval sheperd's token.
