I did not find this weight in any references. Looking for help with ID or references. This is what I have as a possibility...

Islamic, Bronze Cube Weight, 6 Dirhams, c. 10th - 13th Century, 16.700g, cube sides from 12.2mm - 13.4mm, marked on one side.

No idea, Joe.  You probably have seen this already, but Lionel Holland "Weights of Caesarea Maritima" lists both dirhams and dinars in multiples of 1,2 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 units; and divisions of 1/2, 1/3, 1/6, 1/12, 1/24 units.  So, nothing like this one in there.  He also has a square four nomismata marked N delta, #58, at 16.7 gm.  I will keep an eye out for anything else.

I am pretty sure that this example is a Byzantine weight of 4 nomismata. This denomination with such a marking is relatively rare but not unknown. The following elements are included in the marking:
1. the letter N (nomisma)
2. the letter Delta (number 4 twice)
3. a chi-rho symbol (simple style)
Unfortunately I can't find a known literary quote at the moment, but I'll keep looking.

Thanks Jimi and Basil. The elements of the marking are very interesting! If you find anything else, please let me know.
