Caesarea Eusebia- Gordian III
« on: February 27, 2020, 12:02:52 pm »
This ae 25 of Gordianus for Caesarea Eusebia I have not found any reference for its classification, I also have the doubt of the date in exergue, I do not think that the last letter is an E, but rather the equivalent of the sweet Z in Greek.
I kindly ask for help with your classification.
I thank and greet Roberto

I agree, Year 6.

Another specimen: SNG Copenhagen 310 (different dies) = Sydenham/Malloy Addenda 615c corr. (they erroneously say "draped bust").

Sorry but this coin has ENT in the altar, it should be classified differently I think.
Thank you

The Copenhagen coin too has ENT on the altar, meaning "walled".
