Title: Sestertius COTD
Post by: David Atherton on May 29, 2021, 07:50:17 am
Nothing really beats an honest first century sestertius. Domitian in numismatic circles is primarily known for his denarii, but he also struck some mighty fine bronzes, many of which are in superb style. I think my latest addition is such a coin. COTD? I humbly think so.

Thank you for looking!

A fantastic portrait that I suspect is even better in hand.  Very nice addition David.

That is just lovely. The depiction of Minerva is particularly artistic.
