Hello friends, I have added a few more of my newer
additions. First, an AR
Drachm of
Caesarea for
Trajan, which by virtue of it's perfect
Roman style I believe to be minted in
Rome for distribution in
Caesarea. Second, a
Fort Red Sestertius of
Trajan, with what looks to my eye to be light tooling in the hair.
Ordinarily, I won't touch a coin that has been
tooled in any way, but somehow this coin
still charmed me and overcame the stigma. I guess it can also serve as an example for me of deceptive, fairly well executed tooling. Don't get me wrong, I
still abhor what was done to the coin, but in this particular case it
still couldn't stifle the coin's overall charm.
