  • Hope for the best but prepare for the worst

A remarkable find late last year that I only just became aware of. The discovery dating from the early empire was made during the laying of a water pipeline north of Naples. The tomb paintings were done in a simple, almost cartoon like style to modern eyes, but appear almost as fresh as the day they were painted, even keeping their bright original colouring.
