unknown coin/token

Hi guys,

This is the coin/token my dad found many years ago in Northern Europe playing on remains of a convent. Since there is a camel and a palm tree in this coin, we assume that it was brought from far away, probably by crusaders. Would be interesting to hear your opinion about it.

It looks like a tourist trinket of some sort, not an ancient coin.

Thanks, Molinari. We did not consider this option, mainly because this thing was found in  50's in a place that would be hardly visited by any tourists even many years later.

It's not necessarily for tourists.  It could be a gaming token or just a keep-sake of some sort.  I really don't know what it is, just that it isn't an ancient coin.
