Bought Coin in Jordan. I don't Think is Roman
« on: December 31, 2022, 10:44:33 pm »
Hello friends,
I looked in the catalogues but have not found any similar.
I am posting this coin to find out what it is and perhaps even to know if is the real thing. I bought 4 coins in Jordan when I visited Israel in 2009.I cleaned the coins, I hope if they are real, I didn't damage the coin. Ever since I wondered about them. I am not a professional collector. I bough during the years. Now that I am semi retired, I picked up the interest and learning more of what I have.
Thank You ahead of time. I will publish the other 3 to get the wonderful opinion of the professionals here.
J.

This is a tourist fake imitating a tetradrachm of Philip II of Macedonia:

The originals are made of silver, your coin here is clearly not :-\.
