Fake or not - Pius sestertius
« on: August 23, 2007, 01:06:08 pm »
Hi,
I found a fake-suspicious sestertius on ebay.de. If I know well Libertas never holds caduceus on roman coins. What do you think about it?

It should be a scepter, BMC 1141, Cohen 547.

It could be a genuine sestertius, the snakes just being tooled in to transform the scepter into a caduceus.
