Follis Trier, assignment
« on: August 03, 2022, 04:53:28 am »
Hello

Having trouble determining the following follis. How would you classify it?

The weight is 1,2g and the diameter 14mm.

The legend of the reverse ends: DD NN AV"
Victories facing each other, each holding a wreath, ivy leaf in centre.
Mintmark: STR for Secunda Treveris, 2. Officina

it's an unofficial issue...these are fairly common. I have two that are die matched.

Thank you Victor, I'll take care of that!
Nice comparison pieces by the way!
