Two Flavian rarities: As of Titus as Caesar and Doitian Denarius
« Reply #652 on: December 22, 2020, 12:46:18 pm »
Hello everyone,

I'd like to share two of my latest additions, just delivered today.

The first one is a quite rare Titus Victoria Navalis As, struck on a short flan yet with all its devices and a nice patina.

The second one is a very rare Domitian Denarius of 85 A.D., struck on a large flan, nicely toned and of great style.

This last one has special significance to me, being the 2,000th Flavian related coin to enter my collection.

With this occasion I would like to wish a Merry Christmas to all Forum members.

Re: Flavian gallery - Nice and rare IMP XV Domitian Denarius

Hello everyone,

I'd like to share one of my latest additions.

It is a denarius belonging to the second issue of 88 A.D. which allows me to complete this very rare series, the first purchase of which (RIC 493) dates back to 2003: it took me 18 years to complete it.

It's a nice coin overall.

Strong portrait and lovely patina on a common Titus As
« Reply #658 on: June 11, 2021, 10:18:31 am »
Hello everyone.

This time I would like to share a coin that is not particularly rare, but that I added with pleasure to my collection, by virtue of a beautiful style and a really nice patina.

This is an As issued by Titus during his short reign, with Aequitas on the reverse.
