A couple of new coins and some updated images
« on: November 19, 2011, 08:41:42 am »
I am in the process of updating many of the images in my gallery under my most recent photography setup.
I have also added the following couple of coins that were missing from my gallery.

A Larissa Youth wrestling bull Drachm

Something that there aren't too many examples of in the gallery. A Magnia Urbica Ant. from Rome.

Well. Magnias don't come cheap. One for sale 450 EUR (first pic)
The other one ( pic 2) should be more expensive. Any opinions as to possible value.

I decided to update all the images of my Greek tetradrachms. I am quite pleased with the results.

You should be pleased with the coins too. A great collection full of interest and great photography, of course.

Always pleased to see them.

Many thanks,
I am now doing the remainder of my Greeks before I face the daunting prospect of my Romans.

What a coin! I missed that one in FORVM's catalogue!

The portrait is expertly engraved exhibiting the finest work of the time, with every subtle detail in the neck and face beautifully rendered.  Both sides are amazing!  Bravo sou!

I never really got in to these for some reason, but that is a beautiful coin. Very nice picture as well. I like the way it looks like he is looking up at the eagle and the eagle is glaring down at him! lol Fabulous addition.
