Suspicious Marc Antony Legionary Denari?
« on: May 06, 2021, 12:17:52 am »
I came across this coin while browsing eBay and the combination of high quality and low price (for this type of coin) raised a flag for me [LINK REMOVED BY ADMIN]

Add to that the fact that the seller has another one also in very good condition for similar price. All his offerings are Roman period silver coins and it appears he's started selling on ebay last October.

I could be way off on this but wanted some expert opinion. I am not looking to buy this coin (already have one). I'm just curious, and want to learn to spot fakes.

Please don't just suggest a nomination. If you think one is appropriate, just nominate the seller yourself.

With the original link removed, one has to ask: who is being nominated?

Nominations have the word nomination and the name of the seller in the subject. This is not a nomination.
