Help ID Marcus Aurelius? Fake coin?
« on: February 18, 2021, 01:15:53 pm »
Hello
Bronze
The legend of the obverse seems to be from Marcus Aurelius: M ANTONINVS AVG TRP XV  but the portrait does not match.
In your opinion is this a fake?

Thanks

No offence, but you would be better off buying ancient coins from a reputable dealer. It’s a myth perpetuated by others that ancient coins are unaffordable. The ancient coins on offer in the FORVM shop are both affordable and authentic. Some cost considerably less than those humungous fantasy pieces and look a darned sight better.
