  • Change we can believe in.
I can't help with the Waage lookup, but just looking at the coin, it would appear to be year 28 not year 29.
Or is my eyesight just getting worse?

I am confident it is XX Sigma III, year 29. The reverse die may have started engraved as year 28, but an extra I was was crammed in.

Great thanks Byzantofil!  I added the link to NumisWiki.

But I just looked at it - Volume I, still interesting, good for lamps, but no Byzantine coins.

I'm seeing this late, but why do you need to look it up in Waage? That catalogue is known to have many errors. You already have the MIB reference, right?

Thanks for the thread bump, looks like the PDFs on the linked website are now in order.

Here is a direct link to Volume IV Part Two:

It looks like a good scan, with good plates. The entire volume can be downloaded as a PDF.
