Really sharp detail and nice color patina. Not too sure they are rare now a days. See many up for sale around the internet since the opening up of Eastern Europe. Still a choice example and thanks for sharing.
I do like how the son-in-law honors Maximianus despite the past History between the two. Modern family?

There is OPTIMORVM in rev legend, not OPTOMORVM.

But I can see unexpected "O" at the end of obv. legend: IMPO instead of IMP. Strange...

Hi Lech

OK It was my typing error "OPTOMORVM" it is OK "OPTIMORVM" of course .. :azn:
(Sometimes to type in I pad ...not easy.. ;) )

But the avers the "O" in the end of the legend are interesting, I will be controlled under the microscope soon..

Thanks your notes..

I believe that is a fold in the robes or perhaps a pin or fibula holding the robes.

You see this often enough. Below is a picture with the same thing, except it over a little to the left.

the second pic below shows a pretty clear fibula

OK Victor I agree, now I put under the microscope and this "things" are connected the robes...
Also I look my other like Diocletian coins they have also somethings like this both mostly recognizable to connect the robes ...

You are right, Victor. Seems I fooled myself, because it is placed just after "P", like another letter in the legend, and looks like proper "O".
