Two Byzantine coins
« on: September 28, 2012, 05:42:56 pm »
Can a little help with the identification of these two Byzantine coins.
Unfortunately coins are damaged, so I can not read the letters on them.
For the first coin I think numus Theodosius II (diameter of 13 mm and weight 2 grams).
For another coin really not sure, I guess that the first half of the sixth century, and can be more emperors (diameter of 11 mm and weight 1.7 grams).
I hope that we can help with identification.

For the upper coin look here.

The lower coin is a pentanummium of Justin I.  The reverse which is at a high angle is a large Chi-Rho with an A left and  :Greek_epsilon: right.  Sear-75 I think.
