Hi Strelets,

Not sure about the first one. The second one seems to be similar to this coin of Constantius II.

Alex.

The left one is a coin of the very late empire. Rev. cross in wreath. This type was struck under Arcadius, Honorius, Theododius II and so on.

Best regards

I don't agree Jochen. The "wreath" looks like an omega and there appears to be an alpha at the left hand side. I am sure it is not a cross in wreath type of Arcadius, Honorius, etc; but could it be Byzantine? Maybe Justinian?

Alex.

The first one the pic is kind of dark, but I think this will help.  I asked the same question about what looks like the same coin.
It is Byzantine
[DEAD LINK REMOVED BY ADMIN]

Justinian I. 527-565 AD. AE
Pentanummium, Antioch, 1.7 grams. (Sear243)
Rx: Large E with cross at centre, monogram
right. Scarce.

Hope this helps

I was kind of rude, the only way I knew what that coin might be was vercingetorix and iaculator Id'ed it for me on the Byzantine forum.  Of course credit must also go to byzantiumcoins, who Id'ed it as a fish holding an umbrella..  Sorry for not crediting you guys.

Thanks Jim
