Wow, this is insane. The world's earliest surviving maps date back to ancient Babylon around 2300 BC. These clay tablets depicted the world from a bird's eye view and included information such as rivers, mountains, and cities. Other early maps come from ancient Egypt and China, dating back to around 1500 BC.
