Bone dice
« on: June 10, 2009, 07:42:37 am »
I did recieve several bone dices in a lot. Just wonder how artifacts made of bone do survive for about 2000 years? I think it should be not that difficult to make forgeries in these? I know that they find old bones every day in excavations. But I'm just wondering if they should be authentic? Anyone with experience in that? And how to recognize it?

Wie-wolf to me your dice appear to be ivory rather than bone.I'm no expert, but that is what it appears to me.
Organized religion is the second oldest profession, and nowhere near as honest as the first.
