this kind of ID is not allowed on FAC.
You have to put the coins one for each thread.
and two of your coins are fake by the way.
warm regards.

Sorry for that! I'm new to the forum! Thanks for your reply. Would you please tell me which 2 are fake? I couldn't remove the photos!

These are the two coins I think are fake. The others may be ok.

When I said 'these coins' I meant the two that Helen had identified to you. The others may be ok or they may be fake as well, hard to say from the pictures.

The top coin of Neapolis looks odd to me.  What does the edge look like?  Are you familiar with what to look for to rule out a cast fake?

This is why we only allow ONE COIN PER THREAD.  It is too confusing to have more than one.

Looking at your other coins, the chance that all of them are modern fakes is increasing.

Beginning to think this site is being used as a test bed to see if fakes can pass the test.

Guys I am new to ancient coins world. I found this collection in my grad fathers possessions after he passed away. I thought I 'd get an idea in such a professional forum instead of these vague comments!, please everybody when you say Fake, please say WHY. when you say original please say WHY. I am not selling these coins here anyway. Thank you all

The only one that has a chance of being authentic is the first one, the Neapolis and I'd say it only has a 20% chance of being real. The others are bad for certain.

Why are the others bad....The style is wrong, the flans are wrong, the surfaces are wrong etc...

I could probably be more specific but if you are new to coins and don't know what you have, you probably wouldn't understand why they are fake. If you really want to understand the coins you have, study a bit and use all the online sources you can find and you will gain a better understanding as to why they are bad.

To help you learn, what you have copies of are:

1 - Neapolis Nomos
2 - Geta Laodicea mint denarius
3 - Alexander III Stater - should be gold not silver
4 - Otacillia Severa - doesn't correspond to an authentic denomination

Do some searching on these and see what you can come upo with and learn what they are supposed to look like.
