Bronze sword Eastern Zhou Dynasty

(1/1)

PBA:
Hello,
I recently purchased this bronze short sword at a reputable auction house. Bronze sword with inlays in gold and silver, Eastern Zhou Dynasty, 5th - 3rd BC.
It is only 43 cm long, but I believe it is genuine. Unfortunately, I haven't found any information about this type on the internet.
Does anyone have any information for me? What do you think? The surface is very cracked, is this normal?

Many thanks and greetings

PB

PBA:
Hi,
what Do you think - is this sword genuine?

SC:
This period and type of item is heavily faked and is one of the rare areas where the fakes are extremely high quality.

I personally would only trust such an item when authenticated by a true expert.

In my opinion this is not like coins where the fakes are often well known and you can et a good opinion on this forum.
