Delmatius RIC 227 or 228?
« on: September 16, 2015, 04:05:28 pm »
This coin is 16.5 mm and 1.1 g.  I believe this is a Delmatius coin but wasn't sure if it is a 227b or 228b.
The mint mark is SMTSB
Obverse: FL DELMATIVS NOBC.
Reverse: GLORI A EXER CITVS
Thanks in advance,
Norm

The difference is the spelling of the obverse legend

227 DALMATIVS
228 DELMATIVS

yours looks like it is spelled with an A, but perhaps it is clearer in hand.

I didn't realize there was a difference in the spelling.  This coin is spelled with an "A".
The answer is in the details.
Thanks Much.
