This is my latest acquisition.  It is fairly common, yet the detail and patina are very nice.

Obverse: IMP AVRELIANVS AVG, radiate and cuirassed bust r.

Very nice details, indeed.  And the Emperor seems to be so glad to make Jupiter's acquaintance!  Pat L.

Noah - just curious - what is the size? the flan looks a bit on the big side for that type of issue - it looks good though!

Thanks for the compliments.  I do not have it in hand yet, and the dealer did not list the size, just the weight.  I would guess it is probably between 23-25mm or so.  The flan does look larger since it accomodates the entire legend and still has some space to spare.  Most of these I looked at were around 22-24 mm.

Marvelous coin Noah!

I particularly like the detail on the portrait. It's refreshing to see one that isn't worn.

And what great proportions on the portrait!
Try and imagine this, as I can't do the extreme technical know how to make this happen like magic:
"Call" out to Aurelian so he must turn his head to you to face you. Now imagine the portrait. Incredible!

Well, with the coin in hand now I have a size:  22.8 mm.  It is not larger as I had anticipated, rather the usual size for such an issue.
