Dear clueless!
Here is my description:
Moesia inferior,
Nikopolis ad Istrum,
Geta as
Caesar, AD 198-209
AE 18, 2.7g
obv. L CEP K -
GETAC Bust, draped (and
cuirassed?), seen from front, bare-headed, r.
rev. NIKOPOLIT -
PROC ICTRO
Eros, nude, winged, with crossed legs stg. l., leaning with crossed arms on narrow
column, holding with r. hand burning torch downwards
ref. a) not in
AMNG b) not in
Varbanov (engl)
c) not in
Hristova-Hoeft-Jekov (2015)
rev. No. 8.14.16.13 (
Severus, central coin, same die?)
obv. e.g. No. 8.22.52.2 (not the same die, C of
GETAC square, but EP looks similar)
(1)
Obv. legend: The last letter of the 1st
part can be read as K. The letter before is surely a P. And that fits the known
legend L CEP K. And now I see a faint L and C at the beginning of the
obv. legend. So not A C K but L CEP K!
(2)
Rev. legend: The
rev. is very similar to
Severus HrHJ (2015) 8.14.16.13. May be the same die? The
legend is
NIKOPOLIT - WN PROC ICTRO.
Best regards
