Probable Didia Clara Fake
« on: July 01, 2014, 06:13:54 pm »
There is no example of this item, currently selling on ebay, in the Fakes Reports. The American Numismatic Society describes it what appears to be the same coin as a modern copy (http://numismatics.org/collection/1949.98.321). No listing for the type at Wildwinds. Opinions?

The coin shown clearly reads IVLIA AVGVSTA.  From the photo I won't say real or fake but either way it is Julia Domna.
