Tonight I am adding 5 Aurelian's Antoninianus to my main gallery

First off one with Aurelian and Valbathus
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166293

Then we have a very nice desert patina with an ORIENS reverse.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166292

Thirdly we have a common one, though with a great looking obverse. Again with a desert patina.  I picked them up both in the same lot.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166291

Fourth a little rougher one featuring Concordia reverse.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166290

Finally a great looking Sol marching right with his spear and Trophy.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166289

Hope you are enjoying these.  My goals this weekend are three more batches of 5 coins each, joining the gallery
Group of Fallen Horseman
Group of Greek
Group of Earlier Imperial Romans
Have a great night.

Tonight adding 5 more to my Greek and Provincial Gallery

Some of these I haven't totally attributed but hopefully, have them nailed down to type.  I have trouble when dealing with the monograms, etc.

Anyways starting us off tonight is a sharp-looking Ariarathes V from Cappadocia.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166302

Then visit Apameia, Phrygia with another great looking coin, with Athena and an Eagle
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166301

Next the first of my Gorgon coins from Pontus, this common one from Amisos.  I do like the colouring on this one.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166300

Next we go to Cilicia, Anazarbus for a Zeus obverse and a seated Zeus reverse.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166299

And finally tonight we pop over to the small island of Cos in Caria, with a left-facing Heracles and Crab reverse.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166298.

Hope you all have a great weekend

As promised just posted 5 Greek coins to my Greek and Provincial Gallery.  I am not as comfortable with the Greek and some of these arn't spectacular but I do love the variety of coins that this area offers.  If you see any mistakes on attribution please point them out.

First off a lovely lion from Teate

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166938

then we pop to Pontos for a coin with a great looking reverse

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166937

Lydia's offering is a little rougher but still identifiable

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166936

Some nice patina highlight this one from Cilicia

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166935

Finally we fly over to Egypt for this double eagle reverse

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-166934

Hope you enjoy.

Adding 5 more to my CampGATES Collection today as well as providing links to three that I loaded and highlighted on Forum's Purchase of the day last week in case you missed them.

First the Campgates.  All are from Constantine II and are from 4 different mints (2 from Heraclea).   All also have good provenance.

First a R2 from Antioch

and our final Campgate stop is Nicomedia

The next three were bought from Joe and popped into my gallery last week.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years.   I got to spend a little bit of time working on coins, though I wanted to do more during my time off but my wife and dogs, did want me to spend some time with them as well.

Adding 5 more to my Campgate gallery today.

First off a Licinius II

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-167461

The next 4 are all Constantine II from 4 different mints.  A couple rated R2.  All have some provenance.

Re: Blayne's Ancient Gallery-More Campgates
« Reply #143 on: February 19, 2021, 03:56:30 pm »

Good afternoon CF.

Adding 5 more Campgates to my gallery today, including a couple rarities and finally snagging one from London and one from Lugdunum (Lyon).  Pretty much have all the mint cities including one still in transit from Aquileia.

First up two Crispus'- from the aforementioned mints of London and Lyon.

The next 3 are more from Constantine II with two rarer ones from Antioch and a nice specimen from Arles with a rare Bust type.
