i could not find the same fake coin in the fake report
to me this is borderline

the material seems to be low grade silver

i checked on acsearch and the original ones i could find seems to be made with the same style possible the same engraver

thanks for your opinion

It shows all the signs of being a cast taken from the impression of a genuine coin.

Yes I agree. Too much wrong for it to be anything except a cast fake. Of course the style is right.

could it not be the result of corrosion and wear due to circulation ?
it would not be the first low grade coins that comes with bubbles

It's not just the bubbles.  It has that soft soapy look to it even for a worn coin.

i think i ll keep this coin and will not bring it back

when i bought it i thought it was a provincial , possibly augustus and only when at home i realized it was a cistophorus
anyway add to fake coin report for future reference
