Wolf and twins AE13
« on: September 08, 2008, 12:48:55 pm »
Hi all!
I guess this is a 'barbarous imitation'. I could only find one similar coin (even smaller, at 11mm).
How common are these and does anyone have more information?

Thanks

Andreas

Hello Andreas,

these barbs are not very rare, cf. Kuenker, auction 131, no 28 - 30 (De Wit Kollektion part one).
This catalog, still available on www.kuenker.de  as a pdf file is a very helpful reference works for this late barbs (and vandals and ostrogoths etc. ) with a lot of additional information in English language. I value it very much.
