Herenius Etruscus overstrike puzzle
« on: October 31, 2022, 04:52:45 pm »
Hi!

This is a thread for those who like puzzles. So far I was not able to solve this one. See below the pics of Herenius Etruscus antoninianus that I came across.  It is an overstrike over a denarius. You can see some mess on the neck on ob. (1),  there is a curve over the head of Spes and some strange things can be seen on chest of Spes on the reverse (2), and also there is something like letter V instead of S in SPES on rev. (3.).

Probably those 3 elements are not enough to decode the undertype. Though, shall you have any ideas about the undertype, please free to share.

Cheers,
