Constantine II unlisted gold medallion

Now on auction. Type noted in "Fake Coin Reports". Also silver and bronze versions exist but maybe this time this piece is real. Well, you need at least 23 000 euro + buyer's fee for thoroughly examination in hand.

Well, this medallion was eventually sold for 36,000 euros. I don't believe anyone would risk that much money without a thorough authenticity check. So perhaps I am wrong and this medallion is genuine?

Here is link to example from "Fake Coin Reports"

This auction saw a bronze medallion of Commodus which was fake as fake can be, allegedly sold for 43.000 Euro. And many more curiosities.
I wouldn't believe anything published over there.

Klaus

Hi Calli,

I have a similar problem. I get a message stating "access denied" and "error 403".

However, if I enter the link manually, it works.

One wonders if these reported auction prices are real?

I've seen instances of people paying large amounts of money for fake coins they can't possibly know anything about. They have more money than brains.

Just cut and paste the links. They work fine.
