Interesting Kassander Unit!
« on: June 30, 2022, 08:37:21 am »

AE 21mm.    6.50g.

Obv: Helmeted head of Athena left
Rev: Bow and quiver above club,  :Greek_Delta: to left.

There are a few rare examples with an X on the right end of the club, but this specimen has a delta on the left end of the club.
Does anyone have a reference for this specimen?

Thank you in advance for your help and time.

An article about the bronze coinage of Kassander is Chrysanthos Valassiadis, "A contribution to Cassander’s bronze coinage", in " XIII Congreso Internacional de Numismática, Madrid 2003", Madrid 2005, pp. 405-413: https://www.academia.edu/2006533/A_contribution_to_Cassanders_bronze_coinage

With respect to this larger denomination (there is also a smaller one) you find on page 409 "As far as the existence of controlmarks is concerned, there is a unique combination of two letters and one monogram on the large denomination."
In fact you always have a delta, a xi and below a monogram, but in most cases you cannot see them all together on a single coin.

Here two examples where you can see (at least in parts) all these signs:
