A small coin identification
« on: May 16, 2014, 09:09:29 am »
Hello,

I have a small coin about 6mm in size with faint markings upon it.  It looks to be bronze and came from some metal detector finds.  If anyone could aid in possible identification it would be appreciated.  Thank You.

Bob

Some suggestions:  crop the photo, so we do not have a tiny image on an enormous background.  We can hardly see any details.  And how about some measurements a little more precise than "small"!  Size in mm. or even fractions of an inch?  Then we might be able to help.

Sorry, I have never edited a photo in my life and do not even know how to begin.  I will have to look into that.  The coin is 6 millimeters which I stated initially.  I will attempt to clean up the image.  Thank You.

My error, sorry--my eye just skipped over the 6 mm.  It appears to be Islamic and probably quite early, but it is so poorly struck that not much is legible.
