Fantastic coins as always Nemo!

The Vespasian Ephesians are my personal favourites.

A few more additions to my gallery.  Several of my coins are developing a gold and blue toning, I think its really nice.

An Alexander III Posthumous from Lampsacus with gold and blue toning.

A Kassander As Regent Fifth Tetradrachm with gold and blue toning.

I have too many Shekels of Tyre but I just added three more. Two a bit worse for wear, but all very rare dates.

115/4 BCE,  a real beauty in hand

Yes, another shekel, I need help!  Corroded and struck from worn dies, I was glad this coin received very little interest at auction.  An extremely rare date, made far more interesting with the detail that it was recut, made it irresistible for me.

Thanks Jay. We only have so much time searching for these oddities! It will be published in a reference work, although probably a couple years out.  It's great fun when one pops up and no one else sees (or no one else cares??) There are a few super rarities in these issues that I hope will one day pass under the radar into my collection  ;D

Same goes for Flavians.  It's that one acclimation or consulship that seems to always be elusive and then you find it misattributed!

Absolutely Jay, it definitely makes this hobby a lot of fun.

In other news, I need to go to shekel rehab......  I couldn't resist this one.  Although the obverse style is crude, I found it attractive.

Well, at least I think it's super rare.  Worn but good silver and nicely centered, I was thrilled that it was basically ignored at auction.

All three are great but I really like the style of the Captive reverse

Wonderful Titus denarii!!!

IMHO, the bare headed portrait Ephesian is the best of the lot.

Thanks Jay, David.  My favorite of the three is the young, smiling, wild haired portrait on the Antioch denarius.
