Judean coin is a description that encompasses quite a variety, as many of the
rare types are often heavily corroded.
To narrow it down, it was minted in
Caesarea Paneas by a
Jewish client
king. Although he died long before the rebellion in 66, according to Schwartz, "The hopes which were raised by
his enthronement, and which refused to die with him, contributed to the faith which led to the great rebellion of 66-73 CE, and to catastrophe."
The
obverse is the reigning Emperor and the
reverse honors
his deceased father in triumphal
quadriga.
