Thanks Q, David.  I've been enjoying reading about these anonymous types, they're certainly going to be hard to beat for my favorites this year.

I enjoy putting these group shots together.  Here are the Adoptive Emperors and friends, a few rarities mixed in.

Enjoy,

That is a great idea and well executed!

If I had a set which I could put together like you I would print a large version, frame and display it in my house or office!

Thanks Randy, I didn't see your reply till now for some reason!

I just added a few more coins to my gallery.

Anonymous Æ Triens Overstruck on Akarnanian Federal Coinage Ex RBW.  Unusually clear. I don't collect these but it just grabbed my interest and wouldn't let go.

A Vespasian denarius from the Antioch mint. A bit worse for wear but very rare.

And finally, a nice Balbinus proclaiming Pupienus his BFF.

I'm far behind in photographing last years additions but I'm happy to sneak a few into my gallery tonight.

My one and only Roman Gold
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-142637

Vespasian's dynastic type from Rome
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-142640

Vespasian's very rare dynastic type from the Tarraco mint.  I looked a long time for one of these. It was fun tracking down the provenance that was not noted in the sale.

A very rare Titus RIC 1485 denarius.  This one was misdescribed by the seller.  A worn but a clear example.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-142638

Finally, a very rare siglos with a stylized lion reverse.

As always, any comments or corrections are always appreciated.

Thanks,
Nemo

Agreed,

All are exceptional.  The portrait of Vespasian on the obverse of the second coin is exceptional.

If I may, here is a Vespasian / Titus combo coin I acquired recently.

Vespasian, with Titus as Caesar; Syria, Seleucis and Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem; AR Tetradrachm; 69/70 AD (new holy year 2); Obverse: [Α]ΥΤΟΚΡΑΤ ΚΑΙΣΑ ΟΥΕΣΠΑΣΙ[ΑΝΟΥ], Head of Vespasian, laureate, facing right\; Reverse: ΦΛΑΥΙΟΥΕ[ΣΠ ΚΑΙΣ ΕΤΟΥ]Σ ΝΕΟ ΥΙΕΡΟΥ, Head of Titus, laureate facing right; in left field, star; in right field; B (New Holy Year 2); 23.38mm, 13.2g, 12h; References: Prieur 106; McAlee 328; RPC II 1940; BMC Galatia [Antioch] p. 178, 226 (obv. begins with T); cf. Butcher p. 73, 4 (obv. legend); cf. SGICV 747 (head left, obv. starts with T)

Thanks for all the kind words guys, really appreciate it. I'm hoping that i'll have more time next week to add several more to my gallery

Peter, that's an excellent tet!  With that cheerful grin, Vespasian must have been having a good day!

Hi Nemonater,

The latest additions to your gallery prompted me to explore the other items that you have displayed there, given the time I have with several weeks of enforced leisure that lay ahead of me. All I can say is that it is a wonderful collection and there are so many pieces that I covet. Congratulations.

Kind regards,

Mauseus
