Greca o Provincial
« on: January 12, 2022, 12:14:44 pm »
Hi,
I have this Ae 17, I don't even know which is the obverse and reverse, not even if it is Greek as I presume or Provincial.
On the one hand I definitely read OCAN On the other I definitely read AH Both sides it seems to me represented two divinities with a monogram on the right.
I thank those who will be able to give me news on this coin.
Could this be the city of OCALON?
Roberto

Thanks Pekka,
But I don't think this is different, look at the hair, then there are monograms on the right.

The variant with the monograms as on the coin here is RPC 1749: https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/coins/3/1749
