Dear All,
another coin I would like to share with you. I hope you will like it!! +++

Description:

Maximianus. 286-305 AD. AR Argenteus.
Rome mint. circa 294 AD.

MAXIMIA-NVS AVG, Laureate head right
VIRTVS MILITVM, tetrarchs sacrificing over tripod before city enclosure with six turrets.

RIC VI 27b; RSC 622e.

What detail! To my eyes looks more like a profile of Diocletian....Maximianus had a more upturned nose.
But with gem of a coin like yours, does it really matter? I think not....one of the nicest I've seen.thanks

The busts of the Tetrarchs are really mixed among the coins. We can see coins of the same ruler with different busts.
