Cross Question
« on: September 13, 2008, 02:48:19 pm »
I'd like your opinion on this cross.  It looks like it could be Byzantine, except it's smaller and lighter than other Byzantine crosses I've seen.  It's only 3.8 g and 35 x 20 mm.  It appears to be copper or maybe bronze.  It has a very thick patina, so I do believe it's pretty old.  What do you think?

Looks early byzantine. The stigmates signs disappeared later from crosses - somewhen after IX century.
