Id Help??
Jerome Holderman:
This one should be easy but so far I am striking out. Any help? I can read EYKWN on the left and SIL on the right.
It is 24mm, and 14.7grams
roscoedaisy:
could EYKWN be missing a letter and may be EYKEWN and thus in Seleukeia? Possible a broken legend like SEL-EYKWN? I cannot type in the Greek letters but I think you can get the idea ...
Jerome Holderman:
That was my initial thought , but so far I can't find a match?
Jerome Holderman:
PS the Greek letters are easy. Type the uppercase letter, highlight it, click the red A in the tool bar above , change the word Verdana to Symbol, and your in business. ;)
curtislclay:
Icard leads right to King Leukon of Cimmerian Bosporus, Hist. Num. p. 503, Head of Hercules / Bow and club, 2nd cent. BC.
Can't find this guy in Sear, Greek or Gk. Imp., for some reason.
