Wooden box decoration?

What is this?I assume some kind of decoration for wooden box/chest.Size is around 4 cm

This is a kind of Roman belt decoration.

Third century I believe.

They are known as Redzic type XXII.

Danubian type, late 2nd to mid 3rd c.
