Title: Small cylindrical bead?
Post by: Jose G on May 22, 2022, 10:35:19 am
Hi everyone,

I present this ancient bronce Item, from my point of view, a Small cylindrical bead.

I am not 100%  sure because most of the beads I have seen are made of  Glass or amber. A Necklace made of several beads like this should weight too much, so I am not also sure about what this could be.

Any opinion?

It looks like a genuine ancient bronze bead.  No real worry there.

Sadly, in my experience these are very difficult to identify further than that.

They seem to have been used from the Bronze Age until the post-Roman period.  It is unclear how you can tell them apart without having find spot information.....
