Phoenicia Arados - Bronze

<< < (29/32) > >>

Arados:
Thanks Nick, my stats have steadily increased every year so the website appears to be helping.

P.S I have a couple of more new types that I would like to share, will try and post them shortly.

Arados:
Mistakes are made by auction houses in respect to identification and referencing of coins, on this occasion beneficial to my collection. The coin below was advertised has being minted during the reign of Trajan, when in fact it was minted during the reign of Augustus and considerably more scarce. The Phoenician letters combining the city control mark or minters/engravers mark are very unusual and specific to this type. Condition wise this coin ranks as one of the best preserved coins of it's type  ;D
