MAXENTIVS - AE quarter-follis
Rugser:
This coin is an Ae quarter-follis of MAXENTIVS (mm 17).
D/ MAXENTIVS PF AVG
R/ VOT / Q . Q / MVL / XX (in crown with pellet between the two Q)
On the Sear and WW the coin has classified RIC 281c... .But that coin doesn't have the pellet.
I have known that they exist other two variations and I suppose that this belongs to the mint of OSTIA
I beg the friends with RIC..I need the RIC number, his rarity and his mint.
Thank

Jerome Holderman:
Have not found it yet Rugser. RIC for Ostia shows none of this type. RIC Rome shows 3 Variants.
1-VOT/QQ/MVL/X
2-VOT/QQ/MVL/X/FEL
3-VOT/QQ/MVL/XX
All three are listed as scarce but none contain the pellet. :(
I will try some more tomorrow.
Rugser:
Thank you jdhold
I have VOT QQ MVL XX with pellet between the 2Q and without pellet
Also I have VOT QQ MVL X with pellet between the 2Q and without pellet.
Now I would like to know the RIC numbers of the four coins and their rarity
Thank you again
