Obol Domitian or Hadrian? Alexandria, Egypt.
« on: June 05, 2023, 11:25:42 am »
Hi! :)
I bought this coin - obol, Alexandria, the seller said it was Hadrian, but when I look at the legend, I see ΔΟΜΙΤΙ, but the three letters in exergue on the reverse do not match this obol of Domitian. I haven't received the coin yet, so I only have this photo. Or maybe it is Nero, because somehow the bust looks like it?

Thank you very much Pekka K!

I searched in RPC online but I missed this piece, cose the coin that shows up in the preview doesn't have the year visible in exergue. I think this is the one. While this bust still puzzles me, it seems different.
