Large oil lamp

(1/2) > >>

iolkia:
Dear board,

I recently acquired this lamp out of curiosity. So far I couldn't identify it and I am not sure of its authenticity either.
Any comments, suggestions or verdicts are welcomed and most appreciated.

L: 14 cm.
W: 7,5 cm.

Best regards,
Iolkia

Strobilus2:
I'm afraid your lamp is a poor-quality tourist fake. The style and fabric suggest it was probably made in the 'La Marsa' workshop in Tunisia during the 20th/21st centuries.

Dear David,

Thank you for your valuable expertise and verdict and also for the very interesting link.

As for further oil lamps, lesson learned!

Regards,
Iolkia
