Lysimachos mint
« on: June 13, 2021, 03:37:16 pm »
Dear members,

I am interested in the tetradrachm mints of Lysimachos - King of Thrace.
Searching in web, I focused at this one, trying to identify it's origin.

What do you think about the coin's authenticity?
Is that a pomegranate before seated Athena ?
Could that maybe refer to Sestus as a mint, near today Gallipoli ?

Tetra data: AR-30, 16.79 gr.

Regards
