Bactria(?)#1
« on: September 28, 2004, 05:46:02 pm »
Hi!

Here are 4 more coins, bought ca. 1964 in Afghanistan. I think they are from Bactria. Are they real ore are they fakes for tourists?
I think these 4 coins are the same type. Weight 6.84-8.16g, diameter 20-22mm.

Anyone who have seen these ones?

Any information appreciated!

Regards,
Jochen

These look like late Kushan bronzes, which are rather crudely made, and these look struck to me, as they should be.
