Wanted one of these myself and ended up getting one.  Would love to get it verified if it is legit and translated if possible:

I split this from the other thread. Posting your item on a thread started by another member about their item is hijacking their thread. Start a new thread.

At first glance, it looks real and the writing looks to be from Ur III. However,  I suppose it could be a very good replica that's been beaten up to look more authentic.  Google Cuneiform Digital Library Initiative an start your search there for more info.

Nemonater, your comment makes me imagine that you think spongebob is doing something like summoning up dread elder gods :o!  Or something like that.  I can see it right now, spongebob squarepants, the character, summoning up Cthulu!  Of course, madness is a hazard when dealing with the dread elder gods (of Lovecraft).

Maybe your tablet is a precursor of the Necronomicon, telling of the seven gates.  Or, of course, it could just be a sales receipt.

On a more serious point, I think you have a neat little cuneiform text, if you do figure out what and when it is, let us know, unless of course it summons the dread elder gods.

Thanks for all the help guys!!  I contacted the CDLI and the Near Eastern Studies at Cornell University to see if they can help decipher the contents.  Waiting for a response with fingers crossed  ;D...
