I finally finished renewing my gallery, with the exception of a couple of specialty sections with coins already listed in the geographical files. I may or may not update those too.
One of those special sections is 'Veiled Goddesses', a gallery I started after my wife's passing and dedicated to coins featuring the Goddess in mourning, modeled after Demeter's grief. This was one of her favorite myths and I try to buy a veiled coin each year on her birthday in honor. She also loved the stars, so they are represented here too. A simple symbolism but it makes a tough day a little easier.
Her birthday was Thursday and here is this year's modest offering...

What a beautiful idea Peter. My deepest sympathies for your loss, I lost my youngest daughter a couple of years ago and I carry some of her key ring charms on my own keyring now and I have her soft toy hamster sitting on my computer desk too. These things may sound silly, but they do help.

Thank you Alex, and my sympathies. Losing a child must be the worst, and I understand how the things we think of as 'simple' become so important under these circumstances. Debbie had a key she wore around her neck, and I filled it with her ashes and wear it everyday. We hold on the best we can.

I'm not really expecting to buy many more coins in the near future, and this one isn’t in my usual collecting area, but it was so cheap I had to get it...
